Hot
Grill and a Smashing Spice!
| One
of the most enjoyable activities during summer time
is grilling out and enjoying a healthy and flavorful
meal with the family. This summer will be much more
memorable than the past summers because we have launched
a new spice blend, ‘White
Jasmine Tandoori Masala’, this is a wonderful combination
of delectable and flavorful spices. White Jasmine Tandoori
Masala can actually be used on anything on the grill,
a batch of delicious hamburgers, grilled chicken, fish,
or vegetables. |
| As
you know I am a big fan of flavors, creating this spice
blend has been a delightful journey. A combination
of spices are blended together to create a delicious,
vibrant and colorful blend. White Jasmines’ philosophy
about spices is that, the spices should enhance the
original essence of the main ingredients in the dish
rather than overpowering them. The ultimate goal is
to create a balance to bring out the best of all ingredients.
There has been so much emphasis on good eating habits
and a healthy lifestyle during the past many years
which mind you, I am in total agreement with. However,
I do strongly believe that we don’t have to sacrifice
flavor to achieve our health goals, we can have the
best of both worlds. |
| Back
home we did not have a grill per say, however, food
was cooked on coal outside during summer or in the
clay oven, which is called the ‘Tandoor’. In
most Indian and Pakistani restaurants a clay oven or
a Tandoor is a must to create the wonderful Tandoori
Chicken. It is my dream to have one of these fantastic
ovens in my personal kitchen…………perhaps
one day, as it is fairly expensive to install one at
home. In the meantime, we can enjoy the similar flavors
by using White Jasmine Tandoori Masala and grill our
chicken or hamburgers out in the garden during beautiful
summer months or on an indoor grill during the cold
winter nights, especially in Wisconsin. |
| My recipe for grilled chicken is attached;
hope you have a wonderful grilling experience and a
summer to remember! |
