Pound Cake with Hazelnut Spread soaked in Custard with Fresh Strawberries

8 slices of pound cake
8 teaspoons hazelnut spread
1 cup white sugar
4 cups 2% milk
6 large eggs
2 whole green cardamoms
½ cup chopped walnuts
1 cup sliced strawberries

Spread all pound cake slices with hazelnut spread. Arrange the cake slices in a dish. Add sliced strawberries and walnuts on top of the cake. Heat milk in a saucepan, open the cardamom pods and add the seeds only to the milk. Beat the eggs with sugar, add to the milk. When custard starts to thicken, pour it on top of the cake slices and let the dessert sit for a 10-15 minutes before serving.
