Sauteed Squash

2 medium yellow squash, halved and sliced, skin on
2 teaspoons vegetable/canola oil
2 teaspoons whole cumin
½ teaspoon chili powder-can add dried chilies instead
¼ teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon salt

Heat a sauté pan and add cooking oil. Add whole cumin and let it sizzle. Add squash and sauté for a couple of minutes. Add all the ground spices. Add a little bit of warm water if the spices are sticking to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes or until squash looks cooked. Serve as a side dish with any entree.
