1 pack vermicellis
2 cloves
2 green cardamoms
1 cup almonds, sliced
2 cups of sugar
2 cups water
4 tablespoons cooking oil

Add sugar and water in a pan and leave it on medium heat to form sugar syrup. Heat oil in a separate saucepan and add the cloves and cardamoms. Break the vermicellis in small pieces and add to the saucepan. Stir the vermicellis around on medium heat until they turn caramel brown. Add sugar syrup. Cover the saucepan and let everything cook for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the almonds. Save some almonds for garnishing. Decorate with silver leaf. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream.
