Recipes: Shahi Dal Shahi Dal - Curried Lentils: 2 cups masoor dal-orange lentils Wash lentils thoroughly, add 4 cups of water and all dry spices. Leave uncovered to cook for 30 minutes on medium heat. Heat oil in a frying pan, add onions and tomatoes, fry the mixture and add to the lentils. Add fresh cilantro and serve with plain rice or as a soup.
