Recipes: Paratha

Paratha - Fried Bread:

3 cups plain/wheat flour
2 cups warm water
1 cup oil for frying
½ teaspoon salt

Mix the flour with water and salt.  Knead the ingredients into a soft, plyable dough.  Divide the dough equally into balls.  Roll out each ball and apply oil on it, then turn the edges inwards to make a square.  Press and roll the square again.  Place the Paratha on a hot, flat pan and drizzle oil on one side.  When the side turns brown turn it over and drizzle oil on the other side, until both sides are brown.  Serve hot with any vegetable or meat curry.
